Islam will progress with love, wisdom, science and inculcation; attempting to slaughter children and women just because they are Jews and calling them cursed as a whole is cruelty. 

Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Interview on A9 TV dated September 12th, 2011

ADNAN OKTAR: Your mother was a Jew and then she became a Muslim, isn't she?

MS.DILEM: Yes she became a Muslim.

ADNAN OKTAR: Masha'Allah. And she loves me very much.

MS.DILEM: Yes she loves you very much. She performs her prayers five times a day. Masha'Allah.

ADNAN OKTAR: Alhamdulillah, Masha'Allah.  Alright then would it be better if we had attempted to slaughter your mum or had it been the right act to strive to draw her closer to Islam by showing her love and compassion? Which of that would have been the correct move?

MS.DILEM: Just like you have done, by showing compassion [is the correct move], insha'Allah.

ADNAN OKTAR: Isn't that so? Well, what do you have to say about this mob that advocate slaughtering, about those who curse them and who humiliate them?

MS.DILEM: They of course are not behaving in compliance with the Qur'an.

ADNAN OKTAR: Right?

MS. DILEM: Yes

ADNAN OKTAR: That would be persecution. But approaching them with compassion, approaching them with love, approaching with goodness and beauties, explaining them the religion with wisdom, showing courtesy are among the characteristics of a Muslim. A Muslim should be a good example so that people would see the beauty of Islam. If you keep saying "you are a cursed creature, you are a filthy creature, stones have informed me your whereabouts I will kill you. Woods have informed me I will kill you," that would be persecution. If you keep saying "I will slaughter all of you, including the children and women," that would be persecution. That would be a grave persecution. And that would be a crazy move, it is not something that a Muslim would have done. Islam will progress with love, wisdom, science and inculcation, insha'Allah. The ability to persuade and inculcate should be strong and good. Yes.. Now you may go on..

MS.BETUL: Master, Astagfirullah, with your permission.. Our Prophet (saas) had acted very respectfully towards the People of the Book all through his prophethood and always made them feel that he values them as people. Our Prophet (saas) before he was given the mission of Prophethood, had participated the Hilf-al Fudul alliance [Alliance of Virtuous] which was founded by the tribes in Mecca who gathers in the house of Abdullah bin-Cuda. At that time our Prophet was in his 20's.   At that time, the Quraysh [tribe] was persecuting the foreigners who came to Mecca and was extorting the goods of the foreigners coming to Mecca without paying their money. A merchant who had thus been persecuted had announced that he had been persecuted in the city square and called the prominent ones of Mecca to form a union. The Meccan people gathered and had decided that they would not let anyone be persecuted from that on. It has been accounted that our Prophet (saas) had said the following after he became the Messenger of Allah, regarding this matter; "I have participated the Hılf al Fudul that gathered in the house of Abdullah bin Cuda. Had I been invited for that after Islam came, I would still have participated." Masha'Allah.

ADNAN OKTAR: Yes, these are all very nice. They are all nice. May Allah make us live in such beauties. May He always grant beauties upon us, insha'Allah. May He grant us benevolence and abundance insha'Allah.
