In the Mavi Marmara incident, Israel might have acted in panic; however offering an apology and indemnity is a beauty, courtesy and it would be calming.

ADNAN OKTAR: [Message from a viewer] "The number of martyrs in Mavi Marmara Vessel
is nine. What is your opinion about this issue Insha'Allah? "
Yes, may Allah rest their
souls. They are all Turks. This, for instance, is an unusual fitnah
[dissension], an unusual incident. It is very perplexing. I still have not
grasped why these people had committed this act. Shooting so many bullets in
the face of these people is quite bizarre. Our brothers will go to Israel in a
few days' time and meet some authorities in the Israeli Parliament. There will
also be some Knesset Members coming here from Israel. I can't understand why
they have made big deal about offering an apology. Everybody apologizes to
everyone; there is nothing wrong with it. I, for instance when I make a mistake
I come forward and say "I apologize". Would apologizing degrade one?
What is the big deal about it? Right? I will try to understand this, what is it
that makes them see this as a big deal?
Indemnity, on the other
hand, is related both in the Torah and the Qur'an. Indemnity is paid in any
case. I understand that they might have panicked and become confused. They
might have been terrified and had committed it somehow. But one offers an apology, right? Things
might happen, they might be making an explanation for that. But what is it that
they would be losing if they offer an apology, this is what I can't understand.
On the other hand, indemnity is a courtesy, a beauty, right? That would be calming
insha'Allah.
