Belief in a Ghost Mahdi harms Muslims

Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Interview on A9 TV dated September 12th, 2011

ADNAN OKTAR: "As-salamun Alaykom my dear Master Mohammed Ali Adnan. The information that is sent to you about the subject matter concerning the system of the Mahdi in the Shia belief is totally erroneous, insha'Allah.  That is because when we look into the Shia belief we see that there is no such belief. There is yet a belief that states Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) would withdraw for ghaybat (occultation) but the belief which states that Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) would be lost in a well while he is still a child is erroneous. Would you please make this matter an agenda and make this explanation about the Shia belief. There is no such belief in Shia, there has never ever been,"  he says insha'Allah. " We are waiting for his appearance. There is a belief that states he would be unseen for a while but.." Yet my dear one, is that not the same belief? "There is no such belief which states that he would come out from a well," and here you say; "he has somehow become unseen." You say "he has gone into a well and been lost," you say and that is even more dangerous.  In a well you might think that his skeleton would be found in the least, but that is not the case. You say "there is no well, he is a spirit." I mean he has gone into a cave and came out from that cave as a spirit and has enwrapped the whole world [you say]. I mean that belief exists, that exists and it is a very grave, very gross danger. Look you have made a country like Turkey, which loves Iran as much as herself, obliged to build a missile defense system. The only reason for that is the belief in the Ghost Mahdi, there is no other reason. He says; "Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) has appeared to me." What would you do then? Here you are, he says; "he appeared to me as a light." What would we do if he says he told me to "hang and cut them off."

And in the Shia accounts, in contrast to the hadiths of our Prophet (saas),  in contrary to the statements of our Prophet (saas), it is said that "Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) will shed blood in streams." It is stated that "he would soak a great part of the world in the sea of blood." Here you go.. When one says he had appeared in the form of light, what would we then do? He would say; he [Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh)] went into the cave, came out of there as a spirit, he had withdrew to an occultation; he is living as a spirit for hundreds of years; he gets in everyone's houses as a spirit and appears as a soul,  one day he would appear to the state executives, soldiers, chief of staff as a spirit and give orders to them." And that is what has been said about him, then here you go, the trouble is at the door. Mohammed Mahdi (pbuh) our Prophet (saas) has been talking about is compassionate, merciful, he does not shed blood, he does not want even shed a drop of blood; The Messenger of Allah (saas) says; "He would not even cause any one's nose to bleed." Who says this? Suyuti says this, Ibh Hajad al-Haytami al-Makki say this. Bukhari, Muslim, Tirmidhi, Ibn-i Majah, Sunan an-Nasai, Sunan ad-Dawud, this is mentioned in all hadiths books. Do not do this, this is so clear.  I mean if we get into this matter, I can prove this to you. Do not tell me ; "there is no such thing," because there is. There is such a belief and that is quite extensive. We are in a grave trouble, there needs to be a precaution taken in the face of this, insha'Allah.
