Performing salat [prayers] is a religious obligation that is explicitly defined in the Qur'an

Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Interview on A9 TV dated November 29th, 2011

ADNAN OKTAR:  Performing salat [prayers] is an explicit command in the Qur'an. Apart from this, look;  Allah deems performing prayers a religious obligation and He also explains what would happen if one quits performing prayers. Note that salat as a religious observance is confirmed [by that]. Allah has declared salat explicitly as a religious observation to be performed 5 times [a day] in the Qur'an. It is also clearly defined in the hadiths as well. But in the verses Almighty Allah says; ".. they will ask the evildoers: What caused you to enter Saqar?" What is the first response they give? "They will say.. " May Allah forbid "..We were not among those who did salat." Look this is the first, the very first item. Under these circumstances everyone would understand that salat can never be quitted. That is very clear. Allah deems it a religious obligation and also defines what would happen to those who do otherwise. Of course.. But that is not the same with the headscarf. With the headscarf; Allah states it as an obligation but does not explain what would happen if one would not observe that. Yet we understand the importance of performing salat from this. There is no other explanation to it. Salat should definitely be performed [by everyone].

It is very important for Muslims to keep their faith strong and to think deep

It is very important for Muslims to keep their faith strong and to think deep

Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Interview on A9 TV dated  September 10th, 2011

ADNAN OKTAR: Look, I have said this yesterday as well. Those who look at the Qur'an must examine it as very rationally as a whole. What does Allah emphasize the most? Allah always emphasizes the abnormalities of disbelief and how believers must be fixed in their faith against it; believers being strong and thinking and investigating and always being on the side of Allah. I mean, as far as we see, 80% or 90% this is discussed in the Qur'an. And [what is also mentioned is] holding up with the strength of faith; we must always ask Allah to keep our faith strong.
Look for instance, some people say; this is Surah Ya Sin, 78. I have turned a random page. You can look for this yourself, everyone can; this is something prevalent in the Qur'an. I seek refuge with Allah from the satan. With the name of Allah All-Merciful Most- Merciful.
"He makes likenesses of Us and forgets his own Creation, saying, 'Who will give life to bones when they are decayed'?"
What is this? This is weakness of faith. He cannot believe. What do you need in the face of that? Ascertained faith, perception of truth, genuine faith is required. Look, Almighty Allah says; "Say 'He Who made them in the first place will bring them back to life. He has total knowledge of each created thing'.."
What is this? This is a sign leading to faith, because Almighty Allah encourages people to think. Look, He says; "He, Who made them in the first place will bring them back to life." We see that the human beings are created most perfectly. They are created in the first place. Let us think of this pen for instance, it has been made once. Could the factory make another one, or not? Yes, it could. Why ever not? If we were to say; "you cannot do this another time", could one say that? It is obvious that it can. Can a craftsman who makes one chair not make another? Yes, he can. That applies to everything. Allah also says "I made them in the first place.. so would I not do it again?" Allah reminds us that human beings cannot devise even such an easy thing. Look, even something that is so easy cannot be devised by billions of people. Then they say, "Actually, that is really true. I never thought about that before." I mean, this is how superficial people tend to think. That is why Allah reminds us this.
Their way of thinking is so impaired that they say, "Who will give life to bones when they are decayed?" Since they are materialists, they say, "Once matter has gone it is all over." Since they look at things from a materialist perspective. They are unable to equate matter and the soul since they deny the existence of the soul. That is weakness of faith. "He Who produces fire for you from green trees." Allah also notes the greenness of wood and says He has made it flammable. He draws attention to the greenness of wood and its inflammability. Allah opens our horizons. But it never even occurs to people. In other words, Allah's Creation of trees in such a form that they can be burned, and their arising from green plants and growing from the soil out of nothing. From soil and water, soon becomes something capable of being burned. Look, that is soil; can you burn soil? No you cannot. Can water burn? No. But water and soil combine together, after a while you look and see that something flammable has emerged. Then you look and see that fruits are formed after a while. Oranges, apples, mandarins, walnuts, melons, watermelons, beans, lentils and whatever else you can think of comes out form the soil. "He Who produces fire for you from green trees." Allah broadens our horizons. He encourages us to see the signs leading to faith and to think. He reminds us to reflect in order to expand our horizons. When we reflect on it we start thinking of a whole chain of other things. Allah does this so we should think of other things. "Does He Who created the heavens and earth not have the power to create the same again?" There is another logic here. Has He created the atmosphere in the most perfect form? Yes, He has. He also created the soil. Does not Allah cause this Earth to float like a feather in the boundless vastness of space? We are like in a ship at the moment. The whole world, all 7 billion people are like in a vessel. We are floating about like a feather along with the world in the boundless vastness of space. Never running aground or suffering any turbulence. Take a car. No matter what equipment they provide, cars still rock about, as do planes. But there is not the slightest turbulence here. The whole world is moving through the sky. It is like soul, it just floats about like that. And nothing happens to it. Allah says; "Have I not created the earth and the skies in the first place, so why would I not create the ground and the sky of the Heaven?" In other words, Allah says; "Since I am the One Who created the man in the first place why would I not create him again?" He is encouraging us to think. But Allah does not provide so much information as to eliminate the need for our free will, that is because the test would then be meaningless. Allah prepares the ground for us to reflect. Almighty Allah says, "Does He Who created the heavens and earth not have the power to create the same again?" Of course He is. Allah does not leave it there. He encourages people to expand their minds. "He is the Creator, the All-Knowing."
Look Allah always describes Creation. And what do we always talk about? Creation. So what do they say about us? "They are creationists," they say. Because we say that "Allah created all," they call us creationists. What do they say? They say, "It was chance that created." "An idol did it," they say. But what do we say? "Allah created" ".. when He desires a thing is just to say to it, 'Be!' and it is," says Allah. Where is the evolution in that? Allah answers evolutionists like that. Evolutionists say, "It must have taken a very long time. Allah could not do so otherwise (may Allah forbid!)." But Allah says, "when He desires a thing is just to say to it, 'Be!' and it is." Allah gives a time frame. "And it is." It happens instantaneously, without any waiting period. ""Glory be to Him Who has the Dominion of all things in His Hand. To Him you will be returned."
These are all facts leading to faith, do you see?  Allah directs us to these so we will have faith and believe this. That is why the facts leading to faith are the most crucial subject. And because of this we concentrate on the signs leading to faith above all else. We concentrate on ascertained faith and we take a stand against imitated faith. Faith must not be imitated, it should ascertained, one must research as the imitated faith is weak.

Allah does not impose on any self any more than it can stand

Allah does not impose on any self any more than it can stand

Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Interview on A9 TV dated October 4th, 2011

ADNAN OKTAR: Look, this verse here is a miracle. Surat al-Muminun, verse 62, [I seek refuge with Allah from the satan] Almighty Allah says; "We do not impose on any self any more than it can stand." Whereas the world is very much suited to such things; I mean very strange things far surpassing humanly endurance could happen. But no such thing ever happens, by the wisdom of Allah. Only things that people can endure take place. "With Us there is a Book which speaks the truth. They will not be wronged." [Surat al-Muminun; 63] Look; "With Us there is a Book which speaks the truth. They will not be wronged." Allah tells us how perfectly destiny has been created. That Book referred to is the destiny.

I seek refuge with Allah from the satan "However, their hearts are overwhelmed by ignorance about this matter and they do other things as well." Referring to Darwinism, materialism and other such discursive, incoherent beliefs.

[Surat al-Muminun; 64]"But then when We seize the affluent among them.." Generally speaking, leading members of such countries under capitalism, wild capitalism, people who are wealthy and arrogant do all they can to keep the key points of the state under their control, and usually succeed in doing this. "..with the punishment, they will suddenly start praying fervently." Allah describes the spirit and the language of wild capitalists who are forerunners of wild capitalism in the Qur'an.

Asking for miracles is a feature of idolaters

Asking for miracles is a feature of idolaters

Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Interview on A9 TV dated July 5th,2011

ADNAN OKTAR: I seek refuge with Allah from the satan. [Surat al'Isra; 88] "Say: 'If both men and jinn banded together to produce the like of this Qur'an, they could never produce anything like it, even if they backed each other up'."
Look men and djinns.. These people have their CIA, KGB [intelligence agencies], they have many people on their side.. If they were able to cope with it, they have writers, literary specialists and grammarians, right? They could have written something resembling the Qur'an or at least resembling to a few surah. Allah challenges them to do something similar. But the grammatical and literary technique, the music in the Qur'an cannot be replicated.

OKTAR BABUNA: Masha'Allah. Yes, Master.

ADNAN OKTAR: They simply cannot do it. Allah challenges them to do if they can. But they have been unable to do so, for 1400 years. They have tried it many times, they have tried many times to come up with something similar to the Qur'an in order to emphasize –may Allah forbid- the invalidity of this verse. But all they could come up with were dissonant; I mean all [their attempts  ] were shameful. They never succeeded. It cannot be done. Allah says; "they could never produce anything like it, even if they backed each other up."
[Surat al'Isra; 89] "We have variegated throughout this Qur'an all kinds of examples for people.. " look not just a few examples, all kinds of examples.. "..but most people spurn anything but disbelief."
[Surat al'Isra; 90-92] "They say, 'We will not believe you until you make a spring gush out from the earth for us.."
Look, they are being a pain in the neck. They are saying this to the Prophet (saas); "..make a spring gush out from the earth.." That is what they are asking for.
" or have a garden of dates and grapes which you make rivers come pouring through.."
"or make the sky, as you claim, fall down on us in lumps; or bring Allah and the angels here as a guarantee"
Subhan Allah.. As some hodjas keep saying "the Mahdi is to bring angels in front of us so that we could believe him. Look this is what the idolaters ask for at the last step and this is where they finally go crazy. Idolaters say "Bring Allah and the angels here as a guarantee," to the Prophet. And these people say "Mahdi should bring angels here so that I can believe in him".
[Surat al' Isra ; 93-94] ".. or possess a house built out of gleaming gold; or ascend up into heaven - and even then we will not believe in your ascent unless you bring us down a book to read!'..  I seek refuge with Allah from the satan, look at the depravedness "Say: 'Glory be to my Lord!.." Subhan Allah ".. Am I anything but a human messenger?"
"Nothing prevents people from believing when guidance comes to them but the fact that they say, 'Has Allah sent a human being as Messenger'?"
He eats, drinks and moves about, he has his natural needs.. How can there be a prophet like this, they ask.
[Surat al'Isra; 95] "Say: 'If there had been angels on the earth going about in peace, We would have sent down to them an angel from heaven as Messenger'."
Because that would do away with the secret of the test. An angel in angelic society is fine. But you cannot have an angel in human society. For example, people do not go to the djinns, and the djinns do not come to humans. No envoy from the djinns arrive. Not visibly, not in such a way to join among them. They did in fact come in the time of our Prophet (saas). They moved around our Prophet (saas), but our Prophet (saas) did not spend his life among the djinns. Only for as long as preaching them. Djinns may come among people as a vision and speak, but that is a different point.

Wine is explicitly declared religiously unlawful by the verse of the Qur'an

Wine is explicitly declared religiously unlawful by the verse of the Qur'an

Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Interview on A9 TV dated November 3rd, 2011

ADNAN OKTAR: Aynur, for the sake of Allah, what does it have to do with this? You beautiful Aynur, how can you come up with it?

Those who drink alcohol always make such small talk and say; "our Prophet (saas) one day came across to people who drink alcohol and said; "How nice that these people are having fun!" I mean -as if- he appreciated drinking alcohol- May Allah forbid.  And on the way back he saw them having a fight and said; "I have prohibited drinking alcohol; that is not acceptable for my ummah"." What kind of logic is that? What an impertinent comment that is. No way for that. "Al-khamri", wine has been deemed unlawful by the explicit command of the Qur'an.  Those things that veil the mind, alcoholic drinks, have been deemed unlawful. They should not do this, where do they come up with such things.

Important explanations from Surat al-Qasas regarding the Prophet Moses (pbuh)

Important explanations from Surat al-Qasas regarding the Prophet Moses (pbuh)

Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Interview on A9 TV dated September 18th, 2011

ADNAN OKTAR: Bismillah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim
GUEST: Surat al-Qasas
ADNAN OKTAR: Surat al-Qasas, which page?
GUEST: It is the 387th page
ADNAN OKTAR: You read from the verses.
GUEST:  Shall read in Turkish Master?
ADNAN OKTAR: Yes read in Turkish
GUEST: Insha'Allah. I seek refuge with Allah from the cursed satan. [Surat Al-Qasas, 23-26]  "When he arrived at the water of Madyan, he found a crowd of people drawing water there. Standing apart from them, he found two women, holding back their sheep. He said, 'What are you two doing here?' They said, 'We cannot draw water until the shepherds have driven off their sheep. You see our father is a very old man.' So he drew water for them and then withdrew into the shade and said, 'My Lord, I am truly in need of any good You have in store for me.'"
"One of them came walking shyly up to him and said, 'My father invites you so that he can pay you your wage for drawing water for us.' When he came to him and told him the whole story he said, 'Have no fear, you have escaped from wrongdoing people.' One of them said, 'Hire him, father. The best person to hire is someone strong and trustworthy.'"
ADNAN OKTAR: Look, now I am explaining a point that I have explained many times before. Those women looked very carefully to the Prophet Moses (pbuh). And he carefully looked at them as well. And they have concluded that the Prophet Moses (pbuh) is very sturdy.  Secondly; they have spoken to him and they have concluded that he is trustworthy. With his expression, with his speaech they have concluded he is trustworthy. This is the verse of the Qur'an.
GUEST: Masha'Allah.
ADNAN OKTAR: Why would a person be regarded as trustworthy? Because he is faithful. Why do those women love the Prophet Moses (pbuh)? Because of his faith which is also the reason why he is trustworthy. So what is the reason for love? It is faith. Yes, let us continue.
GUEST: [ Surat al-Qasas; 27-32] "He said, 'I would like to marry you to one of these two daughters of mine on condition that you work for me for eight full years. If you complete ten, that is up to you. I do not want to be hard on you. You will find me, Allah willing, to be one of the salihun.'"
"He said, 'That is agreed between me and you. Whichever of the two terms I fulfil, there should be no bad feeling towards me. Allah is Guardian over what we say.'"
ADNAN OKTAR: Okay. Let us continue
GUEST: "When Moses had fulfilled the appointed term and had set off with his family, he noticed a fire from one side of the Mount. He said to his family, 'Stay here, I can see a fire. Hopefully I will bring you back some news from it or a burning branch from the fire so that you will be able to warm yourselves.'"
"But when he reached it a voice called out to him from the right hand side of the valley in the part which was full of blessing, from out of the bush: 'Moses, I am Allah, the Lord of all the worlds."
"Throw down your staff!' Then when he he saw it slithering like a snake he turned and fled and did not turn back again. 'Moses, approach and have no fear! You are one of those who are secure."
"Put your hand inside your shirt front. It will emerge pure white yet quite unharmed. And hug your arms to your sides to still your fear. These are two proofs from your Lord for Pharaoh and his ruling circle. They are a deviant people.'"
ADNAN OKTAR: Why do they have weak faith? And why is there a need for miracles? Because the most important matter is to show and explain the signs leading to faith to people. Why does Almighty Allah want him to throw his staff? Why does He want them to witness a staff turning into a snake? Because those people believe in evolution. They are poisoned by their faith in evolution and they do not believe, they are atheists. Allah wants them to be saved from atheism and turn to the belief in Creation, belief in the Creation of Allah. That is why He creates proof. Yes, let us continue.
GUEST: Masha'Allah.
ADNAN OKTAR: Masha'Allah.
GUEST: [Surat al-Qasas; 33-35] "He said, 'My Lord, I killed one of them and I am afraid they will kill me; and my brother Aaron is more eloquent than me so send him with me to support me and back me up. I am afraid they will call me a liar.'"
"He said, 'We will reinforce you with your brother and by Our Signs will give you both authority, so that they will not be able to lay a hand on you. You and those who follow you will be the victors.'"
ADNAN OKTAR: Yes, the party of Allah will be victorious, insha'Allah.
GUEST:  [Surat al-Qasas; 36] "But when Moses brought them Our Clear Signs they said, 'This is nothing but trumped-up magic. We never heard anything like this among our earlier forefathers.'"
ADNAN OKTAR: What is this? It is weakness of faith. What are the evidences, miracles shown there? The evidence that will reinforce their faith, that will convice them in mind and heart. What is the subject? How to remove the weakness of faith.. It is explicitly seen that we are on the right path. Yes, let us continue.
GUEST: [Surat al-Qasas; 37,38] "Moses said, 'My Lord knows best who has come with guidance from Him and who will have the best Home in the end. The wrongdoers will certainly not be successful.'"
"Pharaoh said, 'Council, I do not know of any other god for you apart from me. Haman, kindle a fire for me over the clay and build me a lofty tower so that perhaps I may be able to climb up to Moses's God! I consider him a blatant liar.'"
ADNAN OKTAR: Again due to weakness of faith; due to the materialist mindset, it is seen that he [the Pharaoh] faces a deadlock and utters nonsensical logic. Just as how Darwinists talk nonsense, he talks nonsense there as well.
GUEST: [Surat al-Qasas;39] "He and his troops were arrogant in the land without any right. They thought that they would not return to Us."
ADNAN OKTAR: Disbelievers have always tried to supress people with military power. There is reference to this fact in the Qur’an.
GUEST: [Surat al-Qasas; 40-43] "So We seized him and his troops and flung them into the sea. See the final fate of the wrongdoers!"
"We made them leaders, summoning to the Fire, and on the Day of Rising they will not be helped."
"We pursued them with a curse in this world and on the Day of Rising they will be hideous and spurned."
"We gave Moses the Book after destroying the earlier nations, to awaken people's hearts and as a guidance and a mercy so that hopefully they would pay heed."
ADNAN OKTAR: Allah praises the Torah there. Read that verse again.
GUEST: Masha'Allah. [Surat al-Qasas; 43] "We gave Moses the Book after destroying the earlier nations, to awaken people's hearts and as a guidance and a mercy so that hopefully they would pay heed."
ADNAN OKTAR: So this Book is not completely lost. The right parts are still valid.

Alcohol and smoking do great harm to both society and people

Alcohol and smoking do great harm to both society and people

Excerpt from Adnan Oktar's Live Interview at Guneydogu Olay TV on May 4th, 2010

ADNAN OKTAR: But all sorts of alcohol is forbidden because it's a subtance that clouds the mind. It does serious harm to the brain,  the liver. It is a substance that causes great destruction. Allah forbids it as a blessing and therefore, we are very healthy. Praise to Allah. The number of people who die because of alcohol comsumption is very high as you know. It is very high in Turkey as well. It leads to serious diseases. Its destruction is very severe.

PRESENTER 1: It can also break the peace in the house. Not only disease...

ADNAN OKTAR: Of course, it is very difficult to deal with a drunk. May Allah forbid. This is especially very difficult for young ladies. It is very difficult for young men as well. Because the person doesn't know what he is doing and saying at the time, and apologizes the next morning like nothing has happened. This is very annoying. It's like it's not him.

PRESENTER 3: There are also people who begin drinking very early in the morning.

ADNAN OKTAR: There are those who begin the day with alcohol of course.

PRESENTER 2: People who slosh down the alcohol bottle. What good can come out of that day?

ADNAN OKTAR: Of course there is a good in everything. Even if he is harmed by that, there is still a good in it. Because he must not have done it. He is of course harmed for doing that but as a result of alcohol, I requit those who consume alcohol but can control themselves, but most of incestuous cases happen under the influence of alcohol. And most of rape cases happen under the influence of alcohol. To say "I beg your pardon" afterwards is  immorality and slavishness.

PRESENTER 1: Traffic accidents.

ADNAN OKTAR: Of course, traffic accidents happen mostly due to alcohol as you know. Alcohol damages the society greatly. It spoils their appearances. They begin to look weird. It is easily understood that one is an alcoholic by looking at his face. His breath smells very bad when he drinks alcohol. I mean it is disturbing, it disturbs the society as well. For example, when they get in to a car, everyone gets disturbed. This is cruelty. They should not do this. This is something that a polite person who fears Allah should not do. You harm yourself, you harm the society, you disturb them. A person who sees an alcoholic, drunken person gets uncomfortable whether child or woman. When they see him walking on the street swinging, they hold back just in case. Does he have a sound mind? Can he talk normal? What is he going to do? They don't know. Why bother the society? First and foremost since it is explicitly  forbidden by religion, one should avoid it. And as the damage it causes to the body is clear... It is so with smoking as well. I can't understand smoking either. They smoke even more when it's forbidden. Young ladies have cigarettes in their hands all the time. It damages their complexion, their hair and causes them to age early. Why do that?

PRESENTER 1: It seems like it is because pretension. In high school years especially, pretension has a very big role in their beginning to smoke.

ADNAN OKTAR: Yes to give the image of "I grew up and became a man." Why do that? If you are to show character, show it with your personality, talk and manners right? A person with strong character is understood from the tone of his voice, his looks, his walking and everything. Are we going to understand it from his smoking? On the contrary, when I see someone smoking, I think it's because of his or her ignorance.

PRESENTER 4: There are those who learn it from their families. A child who sees his father and mother smoking, can become prone to smoking subconsciously. The role of parents is also very important here.

ADNAN OKTAR: Of course. There is an encourgement for it since childhood. But you know that smoking has hundreds of postures and they are impressed with those. They see the ways to hold the cigarette and the ways to blow that cigarette smoke from movies and all. It's a completely different art according to them.

PRESENTER: Yes, as if it was a different kind of maturity.

ADNAN OKTAR: But it doesn't seem like that. Look from an upper dimension and an upper mind and you just pity. It doesn't seem that way. If only they thought about it a little, they would see it. They can see it if they look more rationally. First of all a person of high quality would not feel the need to pose. A person of character and deepness has no need to pose. He or she feels embarrassed by posing and sees it as humiliating.  A person is only high quality and beautiful with his natural and sincere demeanor. When someone acts  insincerely, people pity him or her and it seems funny. And to say the truth one  thinks whether or not he has a problem in his mind, a disorder with his psychology. Why would a stable and consistent person do an affected  act? One should act the way he feels. Don't you find those who act in an affected manner funny?

PRESENTER 2: Both because it is an affected manner and also for   health purposes, for instance  I did a research at school about smoking. 80% of the poison is given to the outside. People who think about others around them must in anycase smoke it by taking this into consideration. The essence comes to thinking about other people and love for human beings.

ADNAN OKTAR: Of course they live in a tiny room.

PRESENTER 2: He poisons everyone, not just himself.

ADNAN OKTAR: He opens up the cigarette package in a tiny room or smokes a narghile in the middle of the house. There are children and people there. They have to think about it of course.

PRESENTER 1: Passive smokers are more damaged actually, in comparison to the active smokers.

ADNAN OKTAR: This prohibition did not have much effect I guess.

PRESENTER 1: I see that there are still people who smoke.

ADNAN OKTAR: In the time of the Mahdi (pbuh), there will not be anyone who dies from alcohol or smoking or any kind of toxic substance insha'Allah. Therefore, the whole community will be vigorous and the youth will be very healthy and athletic, alive, full of love and joyful insha'Allah. You will see this because your age is suitable. And you will see this for a long while. One more thing; it is very exciting for something previously told to happen in the future. When something happens later it is okay, very nice; but for something told previously with all the details to happen later exactly the way it was told is very exciting. In order to be able to see the miracle of our Prophet(saas), it is very important that these were all foretold. Not realizing this would be embarrasing for the ummah. I mean after the Prophet (saas) foretold those in the hadiths and explained all of the incidents, if we still do not realize them right till the end and say "Oh these have occurred" after everything is over and done with is something different, but saying " Look the Prophet (saas) have foretold these and we will see them happening" and then to see them occur one by one is very exciting. You will see that insha'Allah.

The verses in the Qur'an about cutting hands [of thieves] and flogging [those who commit fornication] are intended to be deterrent; these are not punishments that are put into practice; the system of Islam will eliminate the basis of such crimes fundamentally

The verses in the Qur'an about cutting hands [of thieves] and flogging [those who commit fornication] are intended to be deterrent; these are not punishments that are put into practice; the system of Islam will eliminate the basis of such crimes fundamentally

Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Interview on A9 TV dated September 7th, 2011

ADNAN OKTAR: "How should we understand the verses in the Qur'an about cutting hands [of thieves] or flogging [those who commit fornication]?  Your loving student," says Murat Baris Coskun. "The verses in the Qur'an about cutting hands and flogging," these are deterrent verses. I mean at that time, at the time of our Prophet (saas), at the time of the Companions no one ever stole anything, no one at all. Whose hand has ever been cut? That might be very very rare, I mean one or two separate incidents, maximum three, insha'Allah.  Flogging has been applied very rarely as well. These are deterrent verses; I mean verses used to humiliate the offenders.  A believer, a Muslim would say so if he has any need and he gets what he wants anyway. For instance he says; "that is very nice," and let us assume that he said that for a pitcher or something, and he said "that is very beautiful" and the other Muslim would anyway say "May Allah be pleased with you, take it, it is yours, you are my brother," there is no such ambition in a Muslim, I mean where is the environment that he can steal? Our Prophet says at the time of Hazrat Mahd i(pbuh) the goods will be bountiful. Why should one engage in theft? If he has a problem with his mind, if he has cleptomania then that is a mental disease anyway, he would be treated as a patient and a patient would not be punished anyway. If he has a need, he gets it anyway; I mean what has a Muslim ever asked for and didn't get? If it is food he needs, he gets food, if it is clothes, he gets clothes. There is no such thing as wanting and not getting what is needed for a Muslim. When a Muslim asks for a property, he instantly gets it.  That is how it is in Islam. I mean if someone has a desire for something you simply say "take it, it is yours", that is how it is.  There would not be any such incidents anyway; no one is left hungry and out in the open, so why should there be any theft? That only has a deterrent clause, it is not a punishment applied in practice. That is the same with flogging as well, it is not applied in practice. How could it be, there needs to be four people catching them engaging in fornication, I mean how is this technically possible? The verse says; "Do not enter houses from their windows." You cannot sneak into a house, you have to ring the bell; when you ring the bell the man would in any case adjust his clothes and then come open the door saying; "what is wrong? Come along my friend." How could four people catch that person engaging in fornication and then flog that person? Those are threatening verses intended to humiliate and dissuade.  Show me people who have been subjected to this religious law, in the history; I mean it is very very rare, may be one in a million, it is very rare.  Consequently, the system of Islam eliminates these fundamentally anyway; such incidents do not happen, there is no such structure. For instance think about it; there is a child he desires a food, a toy; he would instantly take it, you would give it to him. How nice it is, you would instantly make him happy.  Or a young girl says "what a nice outfit this is," you would just say; "take it, it is yours," right? How nice.  "Let it be a present from me," you would say. That is it. That is how it is insha'Allah. What should one do with the possessions of this world? One cannot take them to the Hereafter, he cannot take it to the grave, right? Why should he not have those? In Islam there is a great wealth, a splendid wealth anyway. You do not give money to weapons; you do not give money to the tanks, cannon balls or warplanes; you only spend it on food and drinks and clothing. Then there will be bountiful of goods. Our Prophet (saas) says; "A man will come to Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) and ask for goods even though he has."  I mean he wouldn't be able to believe his own eyes, there will be that much abundance. They would say; "What would you like? Go to the treasury and they'll give you as much as you like." The man goes and takes so much that he cannot carry, then he gets embarrassed and brings them all back thinking "Am I the greediest one among the ummah of Mohammad?" Treasury says; "We do not take back what we have given my friend. That is okay, these are yours, you can do whatever you like with them, distribute it if you like." Could there be theft in such a situation? Why should there be theft? But now the men are.. I mean you know the situation, let me not list them all one by one. Of course..

The Qur'an is pure revelation; High degree Masons who know the essence of Freemasonry and who think profoundly know that the Qur'an is the True Book

The Qur'an is pure revelation; High degree Masons who know the essence of Freemasonry and who think profoundly know that the Qur'an is the True Book

Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Interview on A9 TV dated September 9th, 2011

ADNAN OKTAR: So we look; the Gospel, the Torah and the Qur'an.. But we sincerely look into them without forcing ourselves to something. The Qur'an is instantly and clearly seen as the pure revelation. Are there four different books in the Qur'an? No, there is only one. That is for one. When we ask about the Torah, they say that only the first section of the Torah is the true Torah and the rest is not. There are very few information in the first section anyway, it is really only a few. Only the first parts are original.  And about the Gospel, they say that there are four different books and "they consist of whatever it is left in the minds of those people, that is it" they say and they say that we should take an average of that. How so?..

Now we look into the Qur'an. We see that there are not four different books in the Qur'an, it is one True Book. Is it only what is left in the minds of people? No it is not. It is the pure revelation that is accounted for by the revelation clerks. And it is the Qur'an, pure Qur'an as memorized by the hafiz of that period, there is no addition and no missing part.
How are the Heaven and Hell explained? Perfectly..  How is the destiny explained? Perfectly.. All the faith related matters are explained perfectly. Are there any slightest missing part? No. The acts of worship, the services, [definition of] the lawful and unlawful acts.. Are all those perfect?  They are perfect. Are there any statements that could cause resentment at hearts? Are there any statements that are like superstition? No..    I mean we are looking into it without gulping something back, just being sincerely, candidly looking into it without forcing anything.. It is apparent that this is the True Book. Now if a person has a good heart, how is it that he wouldn't see this? How is it that he wouldn't see this fact? You tell me that. Just bring me some kindhearted people and let us talk to them together. Let us look into it and see how can it be possible that they fail to realize this?
I for instance have spoken with the Freemasons; we have explained very few things to them but they are sincere people and they've said that this is the True Book and that it is apparent.  That is the revelation of Allah. It is apparent that it is the True Religion. They have said that it is very clear that the Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) is the Messenger of Allah.  Well in fact they have said that there is a certain degree in the Freemasonry and that anyone coming to that degree would have to accept the Prophet Mohammed (saas) and the Qur'an. Of course.. I mean in the high levels, once they get to this level.. Those who do not know the spirit of Freemasonry, who only performs that task for the fun of it. For instance the man can be wealthy and they may make him the Grand Master, or he might be in a key position and they make him a Grand Master and give him a higher rank. The man can be a general manager somewhere  for instance and they make him a high level mason. But those being promoted to higher levels of Freemasonry who do so because they have trained themselves well, because they are knowledgeable are very rare. This is what we have learnt. The masons who have been promoted to higher levels of freemasonry, who have actually received a philosophical training are certainly charged with believing in the Prophet Mohammed (saas) and in the Qur'an after a certain level. I mean if he doesn't see that fact, if he doesn't see the fact that the Qur'an is the True Book then they do not consider him to be a mason anyway. Then they say that the mind of such a person should be working some other ways. They say that it is impossible for one not to see the Qur'an if he really is thinking profoundly. That is correct. I mean if he really is a thinking being, he should be able to see it. How come such a person becomes a mason then? Right? If he is able to be thoughtful, he should be able to see this. They say that one might not be able to see this fact in the very beginning but after he advances, after his knowledge increases, after he learns about the secrets, if he still cannot see the truth of the Qur'an, then that person is not a high level mason they say.  To whom have I have spoken about these? I have spoken with the leaders from around the world in freemasonry.  That is who had told me this, the leader of the freemasons in the world.

Qur'an is the weapon of the system of the Mahdi and superstition is that of the hypocrite

Qur'an is the weapon of the system of the Mahdi and superstition is that of the hypocrite

Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Interview on A9 TV dated August 14th 2011

ADNAN OKTAR: While such hunchbacked hypocrites are wandering around like mangy foxes causing dissension, you are serving Islam and the Qur'an very nicely.

ERDEM ERTÜZÜN: Insha'Allah Master, May Allah be pleased with you.

ADNAN OKTAR: Religious communities should be very alert about the hypocrites because the hypocrites are very dangerous. That is because the hypocrites who founded the masjid al-Dhirar wanted to get hold of the means of our Prophet (saas). They were, may Allah forbid, waiting for the death of our Prophet (saas) and was hoping to get hold his means. These hypocrites are trying to infiltrate into some religious orders and by reporting the guides there or by framing plots, or by playing games or by poisoning them or setting traps for them or by expecting for their death somehow, are waiting like ignoble mangy dogs to get hold of their means. The religious orders should be very careful about this. Such hypocrites always expect disasters to fall upon their sheikhs to make them ineffective someday, somehow. Allah says in the verse; "and they wait (the befalling of) calamities to you; on them (will be) the evil calamity".  What does this mean? The hypocrites will die in agony, insha'Allah. The hypocrite is the creature Allah hates the most, he is the most ignoble creature. They are like snakes, it is very difficult to detect them. They employ all sorts of disguise, they get into all sorts of shapes. They are very tricky, very fickle.
They have the power of infiltrating into all places, all forms. The hypocrite uses superstition against the Qur'an, superstition is their weapon. What is the weapon the system of the Mahdi uses? The Qur'an. Superstition is the weapon of the hypocrite. They give a struggle against the Qur'an with superstitions. For that reason one needs to be very careful and very alert. Bediuzzaman says that they are like satan, that they have the a devilish intelligence he says. He says that they act on a devilish intelligence in order to poison others like a snake. That is why detecting and neutralizing the hypocrites is not for everyone. We should be on the alert, insha'Allah.

The creation of the universe

ADNAN OKTAR’S LIVE INTERVIEW ON KRAL KARADENIZ
(30 March 2009)

ADNAN OKTAR: Fred Allen Wolf from California University: In fact he says that more than 99 percent of the universe is nothing. It continues as 99.9999%. “Bearing in mind that the universe is expanding at an astonishing speed, more nothing is coming into existence than there was previously.” In other words, he is saying that the universe is normally transparent. All scientists agree on this.

ADNAN OKTAR’S LIVE INTERVIEW ON KRAL KARADENIZ
(13 March 2009)

ADNAN OKTAR: Their greatest ranting was the way they said that matter was without beginning or end. But then they saw that matter did have a beginning. That was realized with the Big Bang theory. They saw that their claims were totally unfounded. They now say that the universe came into being 5 or 10 billion years ago, when something with zero volume and infinite density exploded, out of nothing. What does the Qur’an say? It says it came into being out of nothing. What does zero volume mean? It means it has zero volume, it has no volume whatsoever. There is no volume, what would you understand by that? No volume means no volume. It has no volume, right? Something has either a volume [or not]. At least as much as that pin head over there. Zero volume means having no volume at all. They say the universe came into being out of something that has never existed. That is the end of the matter. If you say that, then you will admit that there is but one Allah, and there exists nothing else to say, insha’Allah.

Explanations from Surat Al-Ankabut about retrogressive people

Explanations from Surat Al-Ankabut: Retrogressive people would not ascribe the truth to the beauties of the Qur'an but to the ugliness of their idols

Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Interview on A9 TV dated August 7th, 2011

ADNAN OKTAR: I seek refuge with Allah from the satan. Surat Al-Ankabut, verse 12: "Those who are unbelivers say to those who have faith, 'Follow our way and we will bear the weight of your mistakes.'.. " Meaning; at the moment there are people with the mentality that states; 'do not make any mention of Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) or of the Unity of Islam, just perform your prayers, if there is something missing, if there is sin in that, just tell it to us, the weight of that would be upon us.'
"They will not bear the weight of a single one of their mistakes. Truly they are liars. They will bear their own burdens and other burdens together with their own. On the Day of Rising they will be questioned about what they invented."- about the superstitions- [verse 17] "Instead of Allah you worship only idols. You are inventing a lie." So He says; "you have found some scholars preaching superstitions. You constantly invent superstitions and you abide by those superstitions, you invent lies from your own mind, that are unfounded, that are not compliant with the Qur'an." Look, what does Allah say in the verse? "Instead of Allah you worship only idols. You are inventing a lie." This is what the retrogressive, bigot gang has been doing. When I say retrogressive, the knowledge coming from the past is valuable but the retrogressive people ascribe the truth to the idol thinking, not to the Qur'an. I mean they do not ascribe the truth to the knowledge from the past, to the ways of the Qur'an, the beauties of the Qur'an coming from the past but to the ugliness of the idols. "Those you worship besides Allah.. " – meaning those scholars of yours full of superstitions- "..have no power to provide for you. So seek your provision from Allah and worship Him and give thanks to Him. It is to Him you will be returned'."
