Channel A9 follows a very honest, rationalist broadcasting policy

Channel A9 follows a very honest, rationalist broadcasting policy that enables the audience to learn the truths and acts solely for the approval of Allah

Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Interview on A9 TV dated August 10th, 2011

ADNAN OKTAR: Channel A9 follows a very honest, rationalist, truthful broadcasting policy that does not act according to anyone else's words, that acts solely for the approval of Allah. And this attracts the attention of the whole world. This is not something accustomed, it is very amazing. I mean the audience learns the exact truth very peacefully. There is no demagogy, no hiding. We are just explaining whatever it is right and true.  And that is superb. All those we have been explaining about the End Times are all true as well. I mean A9 is one of the very few TV channels that do not engage in demagogy.

PRESENTER: Masha'Allah.

Everything that the human soul enjoys exist in Islam

Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Interview on A9 TV, Gaziantep Olay TV and Kahramanmaraş Aksu TV dated July 18th, 2011

ALTUĞ BERKER: His Highness Bediuzzaman has stated that Islam will prevail in the world with the following words; "Of course, unless humanity loses rationale for good, unless a material and spiritual day of judgment breaks upon them, the vast continents and great masses of the world like the renowned preachers of Switzerland, Norway, Finland and England, who try to accept the Qur'an and the important community of America who search for the true religion, will look for the Qur'an and after understanding the truths of it will embrace the Qur'an with all their hearts and souls."

ADNAN OKTAR: Well, what would a normal person look for? He would look for love and peace. He would look for rationalism, for cleanliness, for good intentions; he would look for democracy, science and art. He would want everything to be positive, he would want companionship, brotherhood and generosity. He would want the poor to be helped, he would accept the existence of the Creator. These all exist in the religion of Islam. They all exist in the religion of Islam. Islam is what we call the whole that the human nature and the human soul likes and enjoys. And Islam inhibits all that would harm humans, everything that would spoil the soul, mind and body. For instance gambling; it would spoil the mind and the social structuring as well, it would ruin people. So Islam forbids it. For instance wine is a very destructive material; methyl alcohol which I can call the parent material of wine, and also the by-products contain a lot of toxic materials. [By forbidding it] People are protected. For instance pork meat is the meat with the highest level of cholesterol. It contains fats with wide molecular chains and many of them contain trichina strong enough to kill a man. Allah had forbidden it and that ban is good and beneficial for our health. Right? For instance Allah forbids adultery and that would enhance the beauty of women, it would ensure the public order.

Mr. Adnan Oktar's comments on the death of Amy Winehouse

Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Interview on A9 TV dated July 23rd 2011

PRESENTER: There is a report regarding the death of the world-renowned British singer Amy Winehouse.

The 27 year-old British singer was found dead in her home. Known for her substance abuse and rehabilitated many times, last month she pulled out of her European tour after she was jeered at the first gig, for she appeared to be too drunk to perform and mumbled through parts of her songs. I share this report as an example in order to reveal the path of moral degeneration that people, who are far removed from religion,  follow and their end from which we can take lessons.

ADNAN OKTAR: The woman is simply wretch; that is, she is miserable. The irreligion brings her in such a state, the people around her. Normally as a woman she is oppressed. In her own way, she was in an effort to draw attention. People around her encouraged her to drugs and acts of aberrant behaviour and she accordingly complied. The society demanded this from her, some people, the people around her demanded it. Because she knew they demanded, she displayed [those acts]to  them. That is also why they were paying so much attention to her. Ultimately this is surely not a fine picture. May Allah forgive her sins Insha'Allah.

Lecture on the Misconceptions of Evolution and the End Times - July 26, 2011

Ms. Begum, Ms. Zeynep and Ms. Gizem lecture on the misconceptions of evolution and the end times (July 26, 2011)

Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (r.a) (571 - 634)

A fine representative of Islamic moral values throughout his life and a close friend of our Prophet (saas), Hazrat Abu Bakr was born in Mecca in 571.
He was the first Caliph of the era in Islamic history known as the “Period of the Four Caliphs.” With the Qur’anic moral values he exhibited under all circumstances, he was an exemplary Muslim on whom great successes were bestowed.
Hazrat Abu Bakr embraced Islam at a time when it was not yet being preached openly.
From the moment he became a Muslim, he lived by Islamic moral values in the most scrupulous manner.
He provided great material assistance and personal support to our Prophet (saas) in his preaching work. With his devotion to, and deep love of Allah, he was instrumental in many people becoming acquainted with the moral values of Islam.

HAZRAT ABU BAKR’S CHARACTER

Hazrat Abu Bakr was known for his honesty even before embracing Islam. He was a leading member of the Quraysh and took part in meetings on important matters.
Hazrat Abu Bakr looked after blood money and debts, which were under the control of people with elevated virtues chosen by the tribes, who in turn determined the sums to be paid.
The Quraysh abided by his decisions on blood money and gladly paid the sums determined by him.

Hazrat Abu Bakr spent his youth exhibiting highly superior moral values, and was a close friend of the Prophet Muhammad (saas) even before he received the prophethood. Since he was one of the first people to heed the Prophet Muhammad’s (saas) call after he received the prophethood, the Prophet (saas) said to him:

"Abu Bakr heeded my call without any hesitation." (A Great History of Islam from Its Birth to Present, Vol: 2 p: 31)

After  embracing Islam, Hazrat Abu Bakr obeyed everything the Prophet (saas) said and always maintained the bounds set by Allah. Because of his honesty, loyalty and chastity our Prophet (saas) referred to him as ‘Al-Siddiq’, meaning the Truthful One. With his broad learning, profound knowledge of religious matters, sure opinions and noble behavior, Hazrat Abu Bakr was an exemplary Companion.
When his son Abdurrahman joined the pagans at the battle of Badr, he fought against his son, and thus showed how he held earning Allah’s approval above all else.

HAZRAT ABU BAKR’S EXEMPLARY SPENDING OF HIS FORTUNE

Hazrat Abu Bakr spent his whole fortune in the cause of Allah. By paying large sums of money to slave owners, he was instrumental in the freeing of many Muslims taken captive by the Quraysh who wanted to force them to return to pagan beliefs.

Hazrat Abu Bakr was active in commerce and Allah bestowed great wealth and assets upon him. Since he spent his entire fortune on spreading Islamic moral values, causing our Prophet (saas) to say this about him;
"Abu Bakr is the leading figure when it comes to sacrificing all his possessions. What an excellent friend Abu Bakr is. There is Islamic love and brotherhood between us."  (Bukhari, 8/Salat, 80)

Another account referring to how Hazrat Abu Bakr spent all he had on Allah’s path goes:
Urwa says:
"Aisha (as) told me: When he died, he left behind neither a dirhem nor a dinar." (Nawawi, Tahdhib al-Asma wal Lugat, II,189 Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani, al-Isaba fi tamyiz al-Sahaba IV, 279)

THE JOURNEY OF OUR PROPHET (SAAS) AND HAZRAT ABU BAKR (AS)

Our Prophet(saas) left his home on the night of the 27th Safar in the 14th year of his prophethood and went to the home of Hazrat Abu Bakr. He and Hazrat Abu Bakr then left Mecca. Traveling south they came to Mount Thawr and hid in a cave there. That cave in Mount Thawr was known as "Athal." At that point, the pagans came right up to the cave mouth. But our Prophet (saas) was in complete submission to the destiny appointed for them by Allah.
If you do not help him, Allah did help him when the disbelievers drove him out and there were two of them in the Cave.* He said to his companion, ‘Do not be despondent, Allah is with us.’ (Surat at-Tawba, 40)

When the pagans saw that a spider has spun a web over the mouth of the cave, and that pigeons had built a nest and laid eggs there, they assumed nobody was inside and left.
Hazrat Abu Bakr was the devoted friend who sheltered in that cave alongside our Prophet (saas). He thus enjoyed the honor of witnessing that miraculous event.

THE CALIPHATE OF HAZRAT ABU BAKR

Hazrat Abu Bakr never abandoned the Prophet Muhammad (saas) after the migration, and carried the standard at the battle of Tabuk.
In the ninth year of the migration the Prophet (saas) charged him with leading the Hajj caravan.
When our Prophet (saas) fell ill, he appointed him as his representative to lead the Companions in prayer. And after the Prophet’s (saas) death, Hazrat Abu Bakr was chosen as Caliph. After assuming the post of Caliph, Hazrat Abu Bakr addressed the people in these important words:

"O People! I have become your ruler. Yet I am not the best of you. If I do good things, help me. If I do wrong things, show me the true. Honesty is certitude, but lying is betrayal. Even the weakest of you is strong alongside me, so I will protect his rights. But even the strongest of you is weak alongside me, so I will draw others’ rights from him." (Hazrat Muhammad and His Life, DIB Press, Ankara, 1996, p. 435)
With these words, Hazrat Abu Bakr summarized in the finest possible manner the virtues that a ruler possessed of Islamic moral values must have. He achieved much success throughout his brief caliphate of two years:
·                    Disputes began arising at intervals after the death of our Prophet (saas), but he re-established the authority of the State by bringing Muslims together again.
·                    He initiated work on the collection and preservation of the Holy Qur’an.
·                    He was instrumental in Islamic moral values spreading beyond the Arabian Peninsula for the first time, to Syria, Palestine and Iraq.
·                    He strove against false prophets and movements that had no place in religious moral values. He thus ensured that Islamic moral values remained as they were in the time of our Prophet (saas).
HAZRAT ABU BAKR TREATED THE PEOPLE OF THE BOOK WITH AFFECTION AND COMPASSION
Hazrat Abu Bakr said that the People of the Book should be treated well, even in times of war. This moral value is very clear in an address he made to his army:

"Do not betray your cause. Do not abandon mercy even in war. Do not kill or persecute children, women or the elderly, and do not cut down date and other fruit trees or kill sheep, goats and other animals except in order to eat them. If you encounter people who are praying in churches, leave them to their worship. If you are offered food and drink, do not eat and drink without saying ’In the Name of Allah’.” (Ibn al-Athir, Al-Kâmil fi at-Tarikh II, 139)

THE SUPERIOR MORAL VALUES OF HAZRAT ABU BAKR IN THE WORDS OF OUR PROPHET (SAAS)
·                    In a hadith from Abu-d Darda related by Bukhari,  Prophet Muhammad (saas) says: "It is certain that Allah sent me to you as a prophet, but some people did not believe. But Abu Bakr said ‘You have spoken the truth!’ and helped me with his life and possessions. You will now leave this dear friend to me with this virtue, will you not?” (Prophet Muhammad (saas) said this twice). (Political, Religious, Cultural and Social Islam, Vol: 1 p: 269-270)
In another hadith related by Abu Huraira, the Messenger of Allah (saas) said: "Apart from Abu Bakr, there are none whose goodness we have not repaid. He has done such good things for us that Almighty Allah will repay him on the Day of Reckoning... (A History of Political, Religious, Cultural and Social Islam, Kayihan Press, Hasan Ibrahim Hasan, Ziya Kazic, Ismail Yigit, Abdulkerim Ozaydin, Idris Bostan, Fehamettin Basar Vol: 1, p: 270)

The true passages in the Torah and the Gospels are valid

Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Interview on A9 TV dated June 16th, 2011

ALTUĞ BERKER: In the Torah it is stated that in the End Times, the ones organizing malice against Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) would be disclosed and that they would lose their strength. You have mentioned this before Master. This is mentioned in Psalms 37; "Do not fret because of evildoers, nor be envious of the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass. He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday. Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way,  Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; Do not fret—it only causes harm. For evildoers shall be cut off; But those who wait on the LORD, they shall inherit the earth. For yet a little while and the wicked shall be no more; Indeed, you will look carefully for his place, but it shall be no more."

ADNAN OKTAR: Yes.. Now what do some hodjas say? "You would be profanes, do not ever read Torah or Gospels." Look how beautiful the command of Allah is, how beautiful His words are. Why should they not be read? Were they not read in the time of our Prophet (saas)? They were being read. Our Prophet (saas) personally encouraged that. The true passages are valid;  they are useful and they are lights, they give contentment to the heart, they are foresight, they are perception, they are beauties. Consequently let us read the commands of the Torah and the Gospels that are conforming to the Qur'an, that are true, from time to time. Insha'Allah.

Prison did not have wearing effect on Prophets but it rather had a strengthening effect

Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Interview on A9 TV dated June 13th, 2011

ALTUĞ BERKER: You've said the following Master; "Hand-cuffs will be put on both hands of Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) and also on his foot. Prison will be like Heaven for Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) because he will be attaining the good pleasure of Allah during the time he is there as well. And the reward for attaining the good pleasure of Allah is the Heaven." You've said "Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) will come out of the prison vigorous and lively. Prison will be of service to him," Master.

ADNAN OKTAR: Yes, it was of service to the Prophet Joseph (pbuh) for instance. He came out very vigorous and very strong. I mean, they do that to wear him down, but instead it turned out to be for his advantage. They have also put Imam Rabbani into prison and he came out very vigorous and very strong as well. They have put Bediuzzaman into prison and he came out very vigorous and very strong. So it did not have wearing effect but it rather had a strengthening effect on them.

The life of bees alone is sufficient for a sensible individual to have faith

Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Interview on A9 TV dated June 16th, 2011

ALTUĞ BERKER: I would like to give some information about bees. Let me also show a photograph. Almighty Allah created bees with many features. I would like to briefly explain one of their miraculous aspects. The bodies of worker bees change according to the task they would assume. For instance, a worker bee spends its first three days cleaning its hive. After the third day, some kind of a pair of "nanny gland" develops on their heads for a week.

ADNAN OKTAR: "Nanny glands".. So?

ALTUĞ BERKER: Workers start to secrete a nutrient for the young bees and all of a sudden start to take care of their young. From the tenth day onwards, glands producing solid paraffin on their bellies start to develop, [a phase] by which they cease to feed the young and turn to the task of construction and maintenance of combs. They are now construction workers. On the twentieth day of their life, worker bees again change their task. The paraffin glands lose their function and replaced by needle glands that produce toxin. The new task of the worker bee now is to guard the hive entrance.

ADNAN OKTAR: They attack someone with hostile intentions. A wrong action is not allowed; they await like body guards there. They pitch someone who makes an err away. The life of bees alone is breathtaking. It is more than wondrous, more than amazing, more than magnificent. The bee alone is hundreds times, thousands times sufficient to make a sensible person to have faith. For instance our brother only mentioned them and proceeded, but each one of its phase is a shocking incident. Each phase is full of wondrous events. But people simply listen to them and then proceed, whereas an attentive analysis makes us encounter a breathtaking glory. We see the spectacular wisdom of Allah. We see the manifestations of His infinite wisdom, Insha'Allah.

It is not possible for something that exists to become nonexistent

Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Interview on A9 TV dated June 18th, 2011

ADNAN OKTAR: Additionally, we look and see that the sounds do not get lost. Images do not get lost. So with this alone, it is understood from the technical aspect that man will live for whole eternity. That is because it is not possible for a sound to cease to exist. I mean nothing that exists would become nonexistent.  For instance an image would by no means cease to exist. I have explained this before as well, for instance, Sultan Mehmet the Conqueror is conquering Istanbul at this very moment. Where does this take place? Let us assume that the light rays of that incident are only now reaching a star, those sounds are only now reaching them, those "Allah Allah" cries are only now reaching them. Those sound waves and light rays are only now reaching that star. And it only now sees that events. For instance 1 million years later other living beings in another star will be seeing the conquest only then. The garden that the Prophet Adam (pbuh) had wandered around with his children is only now being seen by people in another system. Images and sounds would by no means be lost. Neither would knowledge be lost. That is technically not possible anyway. That is because, may Allah forbid, Allah should cease to exist for that to happen. Since it is not possible for Allah to cease to exist, since something that existed would certainly never be nonexistent and since absolute nonexistence is impossible.. I mean absolute nonexistence is impossible, that is because something definitely exists. I mean the thing you call nonexistent certainly exists somehow. For instance the thing you call empty space, is as you call it a space after all, so it is actually something. For someone who knows this, for someone who openly sees and understands that he will live for the whole eternity, it is impossible to attach that much importance to this world.

It is very nice that Angelina Jolie is busy with charitable works

Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Interview on A9 TV dated June 19, 2011

ALTUĞ BERKER: Recently Angelina Jolie has come to Turkey..

ADNAN OKTAR: She is very welcome

ALTUĞ BERKER: As you would already know..

ADNAN OKTAR: I beg your pardon?

ALTUĞ BERKER: I would like to read about her visit if you like insha'Allah.

ADNAN OKTAR: Okay, read it then..

ALTUĞ BERKER: World famous star Angelina Jolie came here as the Goodwill Ambassador for the UN. By visiting the refugee camps all around the world and the third world countries, by making on-site monitoring about the needs of those people and in which matters they need help, she reports to the UN. Angelina Jolie this time came to Turkey to visit the Syrian citizens who sought refuge in Turkey by escaping from Syria to Hatay. Here, she has talked to the Syrian citizens for 4 hours and listened to their problems. And in her statement she said; "The people in this camp have fled in fear for their lives." She said that Turkey has shown a tremendous generosity and kindness, and that she has hosted people there with an amazing organization. She also said; "I am really grateful for the open-door policy of Turkey in allowing these people to enter and the assurances that there will be no forced returns." Insha'Allah.

ADNAN OKTAR: Turkey really has a very humane and nice attitude. Many countries send people back [in such situations]. Even though it is apparent that they will slaughter them, that they will hang them, they still send those people back. Turkey would never send them back before their positions are secured. She approaches the matter very wisely. She approaches the matter very maturely and very nicely.
And well done to Angelina. She spoke very nicely. It is very nice of her to act so auspiciously, to be after such auspicious causes, in such charitable works. Some are busy doing Samba and some are busy in such auspicious causes. That is very nice, Masha'Allah. The life in this world is short, life is short. Her running after such auspicious causes will insha'Allah be well for her life in the Hereafter. Let us send her books again.

ALTUĞ BERKER: Insha'Allah Master.

ADNAN OKTAR: May Allah guide her, may Allah give her faith and may Allah create a fondness in her heart towards Islam and the Qur'an. May He open her heart insha'Allah.

ALTUĞ BERKER: Masha'Allah, insha'Allah Master.

ADNAN OKTAR: She also has a spouse, Brad Pitt.. Let us send him some books as well.

ALTUĞ BERKER: Of course, Master, insha'Allah.

ADNAN OKTAR: Yes.. they would of course be very effective. Had they understood Islam and the Qur'an completely, had they defended Islam, they would be very much effective. She does have a tendency, such a feeling towards beauty and goodness, but she should seat it to the correct channel, she should seat it to the correct path. I mean plain goodness is not enough. One should be good as Allah would like us to be. And for that, it would have been so much better, if she acted in accordance with the Qur'an.

ALTUĞ BERKER: Insha'Allah Master

Hz. Mehdi (as) Devrinde, İnsanlar Özgür Olacaklardır. (English Subtitles)

Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Interview on A9 TV dated June 18th, 2011

ALTUĞ BERKER: You've said the following Master; "We should hold on to secularity tightly. Secularity is the tincture of iodine of hypocrisy. Once you compress secularity upon that wound, it would kill the hypocrisy there and then. There would be no hypocrites left; that is how secularity is. And democracy opens up one's mind, there would be no totalitarianism in democracy, there would be no system of oppression. We should cling on to both of these two concepts tightly."

ADNAN OKTAR: Pressure would make one go insane. Pressure is always the reason behind people being suffocated, behind their becoming ill. There is pressure in the third world countries and the majority of the people there are like crazy. If you pay attention you would see that art and science develops only in free countries. A free artist could paint a very beautiful painting, a very beautiful sculpture, or a building. But under oppression [that is not the case].. For instance in Russia, during the communist period, no work of art has ever been produced, no artist has come up; they simply could not do it. For instance in Red China, no artist could come up. They have no architecture [in that period]. Let them show me one single architectural building, one work of architectural masterpiece that has been built in the communist era in Red China.  Let them show me one painting from that period- one single painting, only one..

GÖKALP BARLAN: That is very correct Master.

ADNAN OKTAR: Of course, Oppression paralyzes a person's mind. Liberal system is nice, that is the free system, it opens up one's mind. When I say liberal, it might seem as if it is an earthly system but I just use that word to make it understandable. I do not mean in the sense of classical liberalism. I mean it in the sense of freedom.  The right word cannot be found that easily all the time. I mean free initiatives.  Free initiatives in trade, being independent and free in art.. Right? For instance the man is going to manufacture clothes, he has to be free and independent. He is going to make a speech, he needs to be independent. For instance politics should be independent and free. One would speak very well in free politics. If you subdue him, the man cannot talk, he would be at a loss for words. Right? Freedom is very vital. It is the adrenalin of man; it has the effect of adrenalin on man. It opens up one's mind. For that reason, insha'Allah at the time of Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) youngsters will enjoy the most intense freedom, humanity will enjoy the most beautiful freedom and take the advantages of democracy in the nicest way possible and be under the safety of secularism, insha'Allah.

ALTUĞ BERKER: Insha'Allah Master.

ADNAN OKTAR: Yes.
