MARC KAUFMAN: What I would be very interested to hearing that how the issue of evolution first came up for you and how and why became such an important part of your life?

ADNAN OKTAR: Given the very explicit, solid evidence, Allah’s existence, creation is evident. This being the case, attempting to deceive all humanity, the world in general, claiming that the universe came into existence by chance is an extensive hoax. I realized the existence of a great plot hatched against the world. Even during the elementary school years I did not believe in evolution, the theory of evolution. During the college years I was more informed about it. However, the extensive research I made during the university years led me to see the existence of a very comprehensive conspiracy; a masonic plot was imposed upon the people in the world. There were 250 million fossils which we did not know about; we became aware of their existence. These fossils prove creation whereas not a single fossil exists that validates evolution. Not a single one. I examined the structure of proteins; their coming into existence by chance is impossible. So I decided to make people aware of this plot and proclaim it by my works, books and articles.

ADNAN OKTAR: Well my brother, how obsessive these brothers of ours are. Look now he has been asking about music. You've been saying that music is forbidden, painting is forbidden, science is forbidden. And then you turn those wretched people into small fry and have many people oppressed. Without science, without art how are you going to struggle? You've been saying "Beware!" about philosophy. So? Science? "There is no need for science anyway." Art: "Beware!" So what are we to do? Well; "With just enough to keep body and soul together, live in horrible places in sub-ground dwellings. This world is your living Hell. You will be comfortable in the Heaven." For a Muslim both this world and the Hereafter will be like Heaven. Why should this world be a living Hell for a Muslim?

And they are still urging the system that they have been defeated in. You've been defeated with that, you have been oppressed, you've been miserable. You are constantly being humiliated, you are constantly being degraded. You've come to a state that you are no longer able to stand on your feet. And you still are advocating the polytheistic system. They have to leave that. The only solution is to adopt an attitude based on the Qur'an, insha'Allah.

Random mutations destroy life and cannot produce mutually compatible organs

Darwinists maintain that living things evolve as a result of chance mutations and that blind and unconscious mutations gave rise to all the glorious variety of life we see on the Earth today.

This claim represents a serious logical inconsistency.

Mutations are breakages, impairments and displacement as a result of radiation of chemical effects in the DNA in the nucleus of the living cell that contains all its genetic information. NINETY-NINE PERCENT OF ALL MUTATIONS DAMAGE THE ORGANISM. While the remaining 1% have no effect at all. NO MUTATION HAS EVER BEEN OBSERVED TO BENEFIT any organism. Moreover,

• According to Darwinist claims, mutation has to produce changes that are proportional and mutually compatible everywhere in the body.

• For example, according to evolutionist claims, if an ear formed on the right side through mutation in the manner they suggest, then random mutations must also produce a second, functional ear on the left side, possessed of the same characteristics. The anvil, cup and stirrup must form perfectly in both.

• Random mutations also have to establish coronary valves on both sides. According to Darwinist claims, mutations would have to produce all the valves in perfect form and exactly the right places, at the same time and in equal harmony.

• Otherwise there will be a huge imbalance, and the result should be peculiar structures such as one upside-down ear, one different tooth, or one eye on the nose and the other in the forehead. But since there is no such imbalance in life, Darwinist claims mean that mutations must produce everything in a symmetrical and mutually compatible form.

• But the fact that mutations are 99% deleterious and 1% ineffective makes it impossible for them to be able to produce rational, harmonious and symmetrical organs at exactly the same time.

• The effect that mutations have on a regular structure is like firing a machine gun at it. Randomly firing at a healthy object will destroy it. The fact that one bullet has no effect or destroys an infection already existing in the body and thus cures it does not change anything. The organism has in any case been destroyed by the other 99 bullets that strike it.

Why do defenders of creation who say the earth is 4.5 billion years old disturb Darwinists so much?

Christian defenders of Creation have for years been claiming that the Earth is 6000 years old. Darwinists, who imagined that this played right into their hands, have recently been dealt a new body blow. Adnan Oktar’s (Harun Yahya) stating in his works that the data show that the Earth is 4.5 billion years old and his showing, with supporting evidence, that the life on it is the work of Almighty Allah, was one of the heaviest blows dealt to Darwinism.

Conferences on evolution held recently by world famous Darwinist professors have all been built on this huge defeat. For years, Darwinists regarded the “6000-year-old Earth” claim as one they could easily digest with the fossils dating back millions of years in their possession. They claimed that the defendants of Creation were defeated right from that point. This claim was heralded as one of the greatest proofs confirming the truth of Darwinist fraud. Christian Creationists who maintain that the Earth is 6000 years old are defeated the moment they make such a statement, no matter how powerful the evidence they possess against Darwinism. Indeed, these claims have led to the scientific facts they brought up against evolution not being evaluated properly. Because the idea of “6000 years” conflicts with the scientific facts. It is because of this huge inconsistency that certain Christian Creationists in Europe and America have always been unsuccessful and passive.

Christian Creationists accept this statement as it is in the Gospel while making no interpretation of it. But the fact is that, analyzed on the basis of the proofs of Creation on Earth, the reference to an Earth of 6000 years is used in a very different sense. Creation in six days also appears in the Qur’an:

Your Lord is Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth in six days and then settled Himself firmly on the Throne... (Surat Al-A‘raf, 54)

He directs the whole affair from heaven to earth. Then it will again ascend to Him on a Day whose length is a thousand years by the way you measure. (Surat as-Sajda, 5)

Taking the reference to six days in the one verse together with the idea that one day is a thousand year from the other verse, the result is a reference to the Earth having a life of 6000 years. But what needs to be considered here is not the literal meanings of these expressions, but their deeper and figurative ones. Because the reference that our Lord makes to Creation in six days actually stands for “periods.” Bearing in mind the relativity of time and the speed at which time has passed since the Big Bang to make a calculation, the reference to 6 days in the verse in fact points to a period of billions of years. Calculating every day of Creation in terms of Earth time, the following picture emerges:

Looked at in terms of since time began, the 1st day (1st age) of Creation lasted 24 hours. But this equals 8 billion years in terms of how we perceive time on Earth.

• The 2nd day of Creation (2nd age) lasted 24 hours. But this lasted half as long as the previous day, according to our perception of time. In other words, 4 billion years.

• The 3rd day (3^rd age) lasted half as long as the second. In other words, 2 billion years.

• The 4th day (4^th age) lasted 1 billion years.

• The 5th day (5^th age) lasted 500 million years.

• And the 6th day (6th age) lasted 250 million years.

• Conclusion: The six days, or six ages, of Creation, added up together in terms of Earth time, produce a total of 15.75 billion years. This figure is in agreement with modern estimations which show that the age of the universe is approximately 15 billion years.

Darwinists Are Unable to Oppose Adnan Oktar

As we summarize here in brief, the Creation in six days that Allah reveals in the Holy Books gives the age of the universe that we already know scientifically. In the light of this, the intellectual struggle against Darwinism waged with fossils dating back millions of years has stunned Darwinists. Not a single Darwinist is at present able to stand up and oppose Adnan Oktar, who has shown the whole world scientific proof that Creation is an absolute reality. They are unable to issue any statements against it, and are quite unable to defend the illogical accounts they used to supply.

Adnan Oktar’s invitations to face-to-face debates with world renowned Darwinists have so far gone unanswered. Because all Darwinists are very well aware that Adnan Oktar will beat them. Adnan Oktar has also frequently reiterated his offer of giving a large reward to anyone producing a single transitional fossil, but that challenge has not been taken up by Darwinist circles, either. The reason for this is that Darwinists themselves they have been defeated in the face of Adnan Oktar, or rather in the face of our Lord’s sublime Creation. Darwinists no longer have a single false means of defending this ruined and disgraced theory. Darwinists never of course dreamed that the 21st century would be one of such a defeat for them, and now they are unwillingly watching this hug collapse take place.

Our Almighty Lord says in one verse:

Glory be to the Lord of the heavens and the earth, the Lord of the Throne, beyond what they describe. (Surat az-Zukhruf, 82) 

CREATION IN SIX DAYS

Your Lord is Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth in six days and then settled Himself firmly on the Throne... (Qur'an, 7:54)

One example of the harmony between the Qur'an and modern science is the subject of the age of the universe. Cosmologists estimate the age of the universe as 16^-17billion years. The Qur'an states that the entire universe was created in six days. These two time frames, which may seem contradictory, are actually surprisingly compatible. In fact, both these figures concerning the age of the universe are correct. In other words, the universe was created in six days, as revealed in the Qur'an, and this period corresponds to 16-17 billion years in the way that we experience time.

In 1915 Einstein proposed that time was relative, that the passage of time altered according to space, the speed of the person travelling and the force of gravity at that moment. Bearing in mind these differences in the passage of time, the period of time in which the universe was created as revealed in seven different verses of the Qur'an is actually highly compatible with scientists' estimations. The six-day period revealed in the Qur'an can be thought of as six periods. Because, taking into account the relativity of time, a "day" refers only to a 24-hour period experienced on Earth under current conditions. Elsewhere in the universe, however, at another time and under other conditions, a "day" could refer to a much longer period of time. Indeed, the word "ayyamin" in the period of six days (sittati ayyamin) in these verses (Qur'an 32:4, 10:3, 11:7, 25:59, 57:4, 50:38, and 7:54) means not only "days," but also "age, period, moment, term."

In the first period of the universe, the passage of time took place much faster than that with which we are familiar today. The reason for this is that, at the moment of the Big Bang, our universe was compressed into a very small point. The expansion of the universe and increase in its volume ever since the moment of that explosion has extended the borders of the universe to millions of light years. Indeed, the stretching of space ever since that moment has had very important ramifications for universal time.

The energy at the moment of the Big Bang slowed down the flow of time 10¹² (one million million) times. When the universe was created the speed of universal time was higher up to a million million times, as time is experienced today. In other words, a million million minutes on Earth is the equivalent of just one minute in universal time.

When a six-day period of time is calculated according to the relativity of time, it equates to six million million (six trillion) days. That is because universal time flows a million million times faster than time on Earth. Calculated in terms of years, 6 trillion days equates to approximately 16.427 billion years. This is within the estimated range for the age of the universe.

6,000,000,000,000 days/365.25 = 16.427104723 billion years

On the other hand, each of the six days of creation equates to very different periods, as we perceive time. The reason for this is that the speed of the passage of time declines in proportion to the expansion of the universe. Ever since the Big Bang, as the size of the universe doubled, so the passage of time halved. As the universe grew, the speed at which the universe doubled increasingly slowed down. This rate of expansion is a scientific fact acknowledged the world over and described in the text book The Fundamentals of Physical Cosmology. When we calculate every day of creation in terms of Earth time, the following situation emerges:

• Looked at from the moment when time began, the first day of creation (first phase) lasted 24 hours. This period, however, is the equivalent of 8 billion years in Earth terms.
• The second day of creation (second phase) lasted 24 hours. This, however, lasted half as long, in our terms, as the preceding day, in other words 4 billion years.
• The third day (third phase) lasted half as long as the second day, in other words 2 billion years.
• The fourth day (fourth phase) lasted 1 billion years.
• The fifth day (fifth phase) lasted 500 million years.
• And the sixth day (sixth phase) lasted 250 million years.
• Conclusion: When the six days of creation, in other words the six phases, are added together in Earth terms, the resulting figure is 15 billion 750 million years. This figure displays an enormous parallel with modern-day estimations.

This conclusion is one of the facts revealed by 21st century science. Science has once again confirmed a fact revealed in the Qur'an 1,400 years ago. This harmony between the Qur'an and science is one of the miraculous proofs that the Qur'an is the revelation of Allah, the Creator, the Omniscient.

The level of scientific knowledge we have arrived at today shows that the evident design and complex systems in living things make it impossible for them to have emerged by chance. Far from being formed under primitive earth conditions, the cell, which in its composition and mechanisms is so complex, cannot be synthesised in even the most sophisticated laboratories of our day.

Life without proteins is impossible. Not only the basic building blocks of the body, they also compose the enzymes and hormones that are vitally important to human life. These complex protein molecules are specialized for vital duties and reactions in the body, such as facilitating coordination and continuing the basic functions of life.

The hummingbirds which remember where they took their nectar

The hummingbirds’ heart beats approximately 1,000 times per minute normally, while during heavy activity, it beats 1,200 times per minute. Because of their extremely high metabolisms, these birds consume an extraordinary amount of energy, they were created with special feeding methods by which they supply themselves with this energy.

The hummingbirds’ primary nutrition source is the nectar of flowers. While feeding, they stand in place, quite differently from other birds. Clapping their airfoils at least sixty times per second in a figure-eight configuration, they hover in the air and they take in nectar from the flower without moving their bodies.

Professor Andrew Hurley, who conducts studies as a life sciences behavioral ecologist at Canada's Letbridge University and has done extensive research on hummingbirds discovered a very important property necessary for this beings' survival. His study was published in the magazine” Journal of Current Biology”.

“'A hummingbird can compensate for the energy which it consumes very fast in the same way. Its alimentation time... in close relationship has great importance in this success. While feeding, it is very important not to lose time and energy by tending to flowers without nectar.'”

Allah has created a miraculous specialty for hummingbirds’ vital needs. These tiny birds, which in some cases are little bigger than a finger tip remember when and from which flowers they took nectar. English and Canadian scientists arrived at this conclusion by analyzing three male hummingbirds alimentation time from eight artificial flowers in Canada’s Rocheuses Mountains. Nectar was pulled from eight artificial flowers by the hummingbirds under observation, followed by a ten minute break, and nectar was pulled from the other four artificial flowers followed by a twenty minute break. It was observed that the hummingbirds which had pulled nectar followed by a ten minute break returned ten minutes later and those who had pulled nectar followed by a twenty minute break returned twenty minutes later.


These beings, which are bound to take nourishment in order to obviate their high energy requirements, do so without spending unnecessary time and effort by means of their excellent memory which Allah bestowed upon them as a great blessing. Although they take nectar from hundreds of flowers, they remember which flowers they visited and they do not burden the same flower again. After an interval of time later, the flowers refresh their nectar. It is very important for hummingbirds not to lose time by visiting dried flowers. It is more efficient to remember which flowers which have more nectar than other flowers.

Prof. Hurley determined that hummingbirds learn how long it takes for the flowers to replenish their nectar, and thus never go back to a dried flower. His research brought to light that these birds have the ability to remember the replenishment timing of at least eight flowers. Prof. Hurley, who encountered this remarkable memory performance of the hummingbird, decided to conduct a similar research among his class students. As a result of this research he commented that “Instead of nectar, I gave them sugar. Although my students’ brains are 7, 000 times bigger in comparison to a hummingbird, they could not duplicate the same performance as this small bird and they had difficulty in remembering the minutes of giving sugar. It should not be forgotten that the hummingbird which is being spoken of here weighs only three grams, and it its brain is about 7,000 times smaller than that of a human being.

This tiny bird which weighs only three grams, and has a brain 7,000 times smaller than that of a human being, is nonetheless capable of remembering the nectar replenishment times of about to eight different flowers; how can this tiny creature remember something which has been demonstrated to cause difficulties for adult humans? Evolutionists cannot answer these kinds of questions with claims of “mutations”.

After all, is a bird capable of the conscious recognition that it will die if it uses its energy in a fruitless search for food in order to sustain its high metabolism? And can it then decide to improve its memory as a necessary solution to its problem? How does this tiny bird know exactly how long it takes for a flower to refill its supply of nectar, and furthermore, how does it know exactly which flower to return to and remember its flight pattern back to that flower? How does it differentiate between the different flowers?

The evolutionists, who claim that life arose due to circumstance and mutation, cannot answer these questions. The only answer to these questions is that the hummingbird acts with the inspiration provided to it by our Lord, Almighty Allah, Who created all things flawlessly. It is Allah Who created the hummingbird, and the hummingbird acts with His inspiration in order to live; Allah has created all the conditions for all living things by which they may not only continue to survive, but thrive. It is Allah Who gave to the hummingbird the ability to remember when and to which flowers it should return to, and it is our Almighty Lord Who alone possesses the infinite power to create all things in their perfection. Allah gives life to all things, and sustains all things, from the universe itself, to all the human beings who have ever lived or will live until the Day of Judgment, from the plants, to the tiny hummingbird, in which we can surely see a Sign of His omniscience and omnipotence.

Allah declared in the Qur'an that:


“There is no living creature on Earth that does not receive sustenance from Allah. He knows its dwelling and resting place. Everything is recorded in a manifest Book.” (Surah Hud, 6)

Allah inspires the hummingbirds as to how, when, and from where it will take its sustenance. He creates all the living beings who are on the Earth and in the sky in each moment. Every breath is taken by His permission. He knows every vital process in every living beings’ bodies because it is He Who Himself created those processes. All the living beings act at the direction and inspiration of Almighty Allah.


“Surely I rely on Allah, my Lord and your Lord, there is no living creature but He holds it by its forelock; surely my Lord is on the right path.” (Surah Hud, 56)

Eagles fly at an altitude of thousands of meters, in a manner similar to modern war planes, yet are able to comb the landscape below in staggering detail. The eagle can detect even the slightest of movements or color changes while in flight. It owes this ability to a very special eye structure.

In humans, the portion of the retina with the most acute vision is the fovea centralis, which has the highest concentration of cone cells. Eagles have two foveae, giving them an incredibly sharp sense of sight. Humans have only one fovea in each eye-for binocular, or forward vision. When we look at an object, both our eyes are directed toward the object. This allows our brain to merge both the images to create a sense of depth. The eagle contains a binocular fovea like ours, but also has a fovea for monocular vision that allows each eye to look sideways and see a separate image. So eagles can see both forward and to the side at the same time.

The eagle has a visual perspective of some 300 degrees, as well as an extra focusing power. Humans change the shape of their lenses to focus. But an eagle can change the shape of both lens and cornea. This gives it extra focusing power. It can also scan a 30,000-hectare (116-square mile) field from an altitude of 4,500 meters (14,700 feet), or spot a camouflaged rabbit from 90 meters (300 feet) with ease.

To attain this super-sharp vision, an eagle's retinal cells are tinted with special colored oil droplets, increasing the contrast for objects seen against the blue sky or green forest. Thanks to this, the eagle can spot minute changes in contrast from thousands of meters above and swoop down to hunt. The fact that a mere drop of oil makes this possible is doubtlessly one of God's countless blessings.

Flying is a miracle in itself. If one aspect of the present structure or position of a bird's wing were changed, it would be unable to fly. Therefore, it isn't possible for wings to have evolved over time.

As mentioned before, something else that couldn't possibly have evolved is the visual system. This is reinforced by the flawless nature of an eagle's eye. An eye with two foveae cannot form over time, as a result of coincidences. That second fovea was deliberately created to answer the bird's needs.

For an eagle, that droplet of oil in its retina cells is of staggering importance... But who made this fine optical adjustment? Did the eagle add

the oil himself, or on other animals' recommendation? Of course not. The eagles have enjoyed this feature from birth, for thousands of years.

So why are our eyes not as sharp as an eagle's? If human eyes contained the same features, they'd each be the size of a grapefruit. Moreover, humans don't need to spot a camouflaged rabbit from a kilometer away. This is why God gave humans their present eyes in a most aesthetic form.

In the announcements masons have made themselves, they have stated that Altug Eti and Sadun Engin, whom they were having as guests from Istanbul would give lectures on the response of Islamic Creationists to Darwinism and on the peaceful understanding of Islam. During the 10 days our friends will stay in Colorado our friends will continue to give lectures in various masonic lodges and in the meeting of the Templars insha'Allah. We have some pictures here. The adults of these plant-feeding insects are of two different species. One can fly, while the other cannot. The structures of these two species have not changed for millions of years. All the complex structures and systems of today's insects were also possessed by planthoppers living millions of years ago. During all those millions of years, these features have remained the same, indicating that the evolutionary process claimed by Darwinists never took place.
