Without the Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) the Islamic world will not get up on its feet. 

Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Interview on A9 TV dated August 26th, 2011

MS.BETUL: Our brother Yasar Sungu from Yeni Safak Daily wrote "Where is the Organization of Islamic Corporation with its fifty seven members while Muslims are struggling with famine and are being killed with weapons every single day? What this organization does is unknown. Why has this organization been founded if it is not able to protect the lives, properties and the honor of the Muslims?" And he had criticized the submissive and lazy attitude of this organization about this matter, Master.  Stating that, as the Master Bediuzzaman pointed out a hundred years ago,  the Islamic Union is the salvation of the Muslims he said; "if we do not do something immediately the Islamic world is again bound to enter into a new century as the colony of the West."

ADNAN OKTAR: So that means it doesn't happen with some Muslims, with some notable people, being united either. These men have united, they have founded an organization, they are gathering as well; these are all scholars, all distinguished men, I mean each country sends the most distinguished, most select people, but they do not have a leader. A body without a head would be dead like this. And they cannot do anything. They do not have a leader. Because Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) is not there. That is what happens when Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) doesn't take the lead. That is because he is like the source of electricity, he is the power station. He is the one that will supply that electricity, that excitement. He is the one who will get the body that is dead on its feet by saying ; "qum bi-izni-Allah" [get up by the leave of Allah]. For instance Ekmelleddin Islamoglu is a great scholar but he cannot do anything. They are all great scholars but they cannot do anything. Look, there is the best of the spiritual identity. What happened to their claim stating that spiritual entity would solve this? What happened to their claim stating that these will come to an end with a spiritual entity? Look, here you are, there is the spiritual entity. No, they cannot do anything.

Without Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) the Islamic world can not get up on its feet. That is not possible, they are to wrap their minds around this, as it is impossible. Ulama as-su [those scholars who use their knowledge for bad purposes] are constantly trying to stop Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh). I mean those scholars who are holding the water current, who are stopping the flow are -supposedly- trying to stop the flow, prevent the appearance of the system of the Mahdi with a thousand and one claims.
